On Wednesday, April 3 2024, the Batang Regency Government held a Preparedness Coordination Meeting ahead of the National Religious Holiday Idul Fitri 1445 H at the Abirawa room of the Batang Regent's Office. This event aims to be an effort to control inflation, ensure availability, and maintain price stability for goods and services ahead of Eid 2024. This activity is held thanks to the cooperation of the district government with the Regional Inflation Control Team (TPID), Bank Indonesia, the National Food Agency, and Bulog.
Acting Regent of Batang, Lani Dwi Rejeki, said that ahead of Eid, the Batang Regency Government is committed to maintaining the availability of sufficient basic necessities for the community and ensuring commodity prices do not rise. According to him, apart from making these efforts, the district government will also improve security and order, as well as public services, both health services and transportation, especially along the Pantura road to create safe, smooth and comfortable conditions during this Eid.
On this occasion, the Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi, also conveyed information regarding the availability of sufficient basic commodities, especially in April when the main harvest begins, which is expected to be able to stabilize rice prices. The district government must be able to maintain rice stocks for community needs and improve the welfare of farmers during this big harvest period. This is a concrete effort to maintain the economy and control regional inflation in the Batang Regency area.
