World Population Day is an annual event celebrated to raise awareness about the condition of population (in this context, the number of people) in the world. This warning also aims to focus attention on the urgency and importance of population issues. The world recognizes that population growth can affect economic development, employment, income distribution, poverty and social protection.

So, referring to the 2020-2035 Regency/City Population Projection Results for Central Java Province, the population of Batang Regency in mid-2024 is estimated to be 838.19 thousand residents or 2.22 percent of the total population in Central Java Province.
