Hello data friends, did you know that every July 22 is celebrated Adhyaksa Bhakti Day? Adhyaksa Bhakti Day is the anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Indonesia Prosecutor's Office. Reported by the Republic of Indonesia Prosecutor's website, the term prosecutor has been around for a long time in Indonesia.
The history of Adhyaksa Bhakti Day begins from the time of the Majapahit Kingdom. At that time, the Majapahit government had a court system called "dhyaksa" which was tasked with handling judicial matters. In that era, the terms dhyaksa, adhyaksa, and dharmadhyaksa already referred to certain positions and positions in the kingdom. These terms come from the same words in Sanskrit.
A Dutch researcher, W.F. Stutterheim said that Adhyaksa was a state official during the Majapahit Kingdom era, precisely when King Hayam Wuruk was in power (1350-1389 AD). Dhyaksa is a judge who is given the task of handling judicial matters in court trials. These dhyaksas are led by an adhyaksa, namely the highest judge who leads and supervises the dhyaksas.
After Indonesia gained independence on 17 August 1945, law enforcement agencies were formed to ensure public order. The establishment of the Republic of Indonesia Prosecutor's Office is contained in Article II of the 1945 Constitution Transitional Regulations, which are clarified by Government Regulation (PP) No. 2/1945. At that time, Indonesia's first Attorney General was Gatot Taroenamihardja.
Happy Commemoration of Adhyaksa Bhakti Day. I hope to become a prosecutor who truly fights for demands that are as fair as possible, not biased and provide the best analysis to resolve each case perfectly.
