Launching of BPS Statistical Literacy with Dilibrary

On Thursday, September 12 2024, the Batang Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) in collaboration with the Batang Regency Library and Archives Service (Disperpuska) launched the Statistical Literacy Corner and the Statistical Literacy Gemari Application (GELATIK). The Statistical Literacy Corner is a special service provided for data seekers and users who visit the Regional Library (Perpusda), with the aim of increasing statistical literacy and education among the public.

Acting Regent of Batang, Dra. Lani Dwi Rejeki, M.M., expressed her appreciation for the initiative to launch this service. With this service, the public, especially visitors to the Regional Library, can more easily access data and information related to statistics. It is also hoped that the presence of this service can foster interest in reading in the library, support the learning process, and broaden statistical insight for the community. With the help of the GELATIK application from BPS, the public can access statistical data, both in physical and digital format, including important data such as the Batang Regency Human Development Index (HDI) and various other statistical data.

The Statistical Literacy Corner is an innovation designed to provide statistical services that are more easily accessible to the public. This effort is part of BPS's commitment to provide excellent service and improve the quality of public services while bringing the public closer to the importance of statistical data. With collaboration between BPS and Disperpuska, the public not only gets easier access to data, but can also increase awareness of the importance of statistics.
