On January 22 2025, the Batang Regency BPS Hall witnessed the opening of the February 2025 National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) officer training. The training activity was attended by 6 data collection officers and 3 supervisors/inspectors and taught by two regional instructors, Purwanto and Ayu Tiara Ashar Putri. This face-to-face training aims to equalize participants' understanding regarding Standard Operational Procedures, operational concepts and definitions, interview techniques, and data entry in the Sakernas data collection application.
Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi, in his speech emphasized the importance of understanding every question asked. "Officers must be able to animate each question in order to unearth the true portrait," he said. Djumadi also reminded that the data collection process uses the CAPI (Computer-Assisted Personal Interviewing) method, so that a deep understanding of the consistency between blocks of questions is the key to the success of this survey.
Officers will carry out data collection in 16 census blocks spread across 13 sub-districts in Batang Regency. Sakernas itself is designed to collect employment data, including the number of working residents, unemployment rates, and other employment indicators.
To data friends who were selected as Sakernas respondents, we ask for your active participation to welcome our officers well and provide honest answers, because your data is the key to better employment policies!
