In order to improve the accuracy of secondary crop production data, the Batang Regency BPS Team led directly by the Head of Batang Regency BPS, Heni Djumadi, conducted the 2025 Subround 1 Secondary Crop Tiling Survey in Kalangsono Village, Banyuputih District. The activity carried out on Friday (14/2) involved direct measurement of secondary crop productivity in the field. The Head of Kalangsono Village, Mrs. Riyanti, the Head of the Indah Laras Farmers Group, Mr. H. Tuhri, and the tiling respondent, Mr. Ngahadi, welcomed the arrival of the BPS team.
During the survey, Heni Djumadi emphasized that the tiling data was collected to represent real conditions in the field objectively. The main goal is to obtain an accurate picture of crop productivity without any attempt to improve or worsen the results obtained. Therefore, each stage in the tiling measurement must be carried out according to established procedures, so that the data produced truly reflects real conditions in the field. With this approach, tiling data can be used as a basis for making the right decisions in planning and evaluating the agricultural sector.
By conducting direct measurements in the field, the data obtained will be more accurate and reliable compared to farmer estimates. The secondary crop productivity data obtained from this survey is very important for various purposes, such as production planning, evaluation of agricultural programs, and the preparation of policies that are more targeted and have an impact on improving farmer welfare and regional food security.
