World Water Day 2025: “Collective Efforts to Maintain Drinking Water Quality”
March 22, 2025 | Other Activities
Today, March 22, 2025, we commemorate World Water Day again. This important moment is a reminder of the value of water for life. This year, the world highlights "Glacier Conservation" as a global theme, considering the impact of climate change that is increasingly threatening water resources. In Indonesia, the national theme is "Joint Efforts to Maintain Drinking Water Quality," emphasizing the importance of collaboration in ensuring the availability of safe, clean water for all.
The latest data from the 2024 Village Potential data collection and the 2024 National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) state that 96.46 percent of households have access to clean drinking water. This clean drinking water includes bottled water, tap water, water from protected wells, water from protected springs and also rainwater. In addition, as many as 107 villages/sub-districts in Batang Regency rely on springs as the main source of drinking water for most of their families. Let's work together to maintain the sustainability of water resources for a healthier and more sustainable future!
