Hello data friends, did you know that every April 26, we commemorate Disaster Preparedness Day (HKB)? This warning was designated as momentum to build a culture of disaster awareness in Indonesia. This warning aims to increase community awareness, preparedness and skills in dealing with potential disasters, starting from the family, school and community environments.
In Batang Regency, disaster mitigation efforts continue to be carried out at the village level. Based on the 2024 Batang Regency Village Potential Statistics Publication, overall 46.24 percent of villages have natural disaster anticipation/mitigation efforts. If we look at the type of disaster mitigation efforts, there are 8 villages/sub-districts that have implemented natural disaster early warning systems, 21 villages/sub-districts with tsunami early warning systems, 24 evacuation routes, and 159 villages/sub-districts that have normalized rivers, canals or embankments.
