Abstract

In March 2019, the level of inequality in Central Java population expenditure as measured by the Gini Ratio was recorded at 0.361, a slight increase of 0.004 points compared to the September 2018 Gini Ratio. The distribution of expenditure for the bottom 40 percent of the population was 18.71 percent. This means that population expenditure is still in the low inequality category.

The Gini Ratio for September 2019 was recorded at 0.358, down from March 2019 which was 0.361.

March 2019: The percentage of poor people was 10.80 percent, down compared to September 2018 which was 11.19 percent.

The percentage of poor people in March 2020 rose to 11.41 percent, compared to September 2019 which was 10.58 percent.

The percentage of poor people in September 2020 rose to 11.84 percent, compared to March 2020 which was 11.41 percent.

The Gini Ratio in March 2020 was recorded at 0.362, up from 0.358 in September 2019.
