Training for Prospective Regional Instructors for Village Potential Data Collection 2024

In May 2024 BPS will carry out the 2024 Village Potential Data Collection (Podes). Village Potential (Podes) is the only complete village-level data collection carried out by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Podes 2024 will produce data for regional development needs, availability of infrastructure/facilities, and socio-economic conditions in each village/sub-district. One of the indicators from Podes which is very important in development planning is the Geographic Difficulty Index.

The 2024 Podes Regional Instructor Training (Inda) is being attended by 925 Inda Candidates from all over Indonesia who are divided into 31 classes. All participants took part in Independent Learning (Massive Open Online Course/ MOOC) on 29 to 30 March 2024. Furthermore, online Distance Learning was held simultaneously on 1 to 4 April 2024. The prospective candidate from BPS Batang Regency who took part in this training was M Choeril Anwar and Gilang Alip Utama. The 2024 Podes stages will continue with field officer training which will be carried out at the end of April 2024.

Active participation from local governments, both at the village/kelurahan, sub-district and district/city levels, will be very necessary in the 2024 Podes data collection process. This participation will make the 2024 Podes data more valid and useful for development.
