Working Visit of the Head of BPS Batang Regency to PJ Batang

Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi together with Head of General Affairs, Ali Abrori and Head of Consumption Balance and Analysis Team, Sri Winarsih conducted a working visit to the Acting Regent of Batang in the Regent of Batang's office, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. This meeting aimed to coordinate the 2024 Village Potential Field Data Collection (Podes) activities and to request support from the Batang Regency Regional Government (Pemda) so that this activity can run smoothly to the village level.

Taking advantage of this opportunity, Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi also submitted a report related to the Results of the Calculation of the Estimated Extreme Poverty Rate at the Regency/City Level in 2023 from the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture (Kemenko PMK). Extreme poverty is a strategic issue and must be handled quickly and appropriately by the Batang Regency Regional Government.

Acting Regent of Batang, Lani Dwi Rejeki, emphasized that concrete steps are needed by improving coordination between the regional government and related stakeholders including the Batang Regency Central Statistics Agency to overcome the problem of extreme poverty. Solid collaboration is expected to produce effective and sustainable solutions and policies in overcoming extreme poverty. Furthermore, Heni Djumadi gave input to realize coordination between the Regional Government and related agencies, a routine agenda needs to be held through a monthly Evaluation Meeting to discuss extreme poverty. With this activity, it is hoped that it can create strong synergy so that efforts to overcome extreme poverty in Batang Regency can run effectively, efficiently and sustainably.
