Working Visit to Acting Regent of Batang

On Tuesday (17/11) the Head of BPS Batang Regency and his team made a working visit to the Acting Regent of Batang in order to convey several indicators that have been released until December 2024. These indicators include Economic Growth in the Third Quarter of 2024, the Human Development Index (HDI), Poverty Rate, and Unemployment.

Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi, said that Batang Regency's economic growth in the third quarter of 2024 grew by 6.12 percent when compared to the third quarter of 2023 (yoy). Cumulatively until the third quarter of 2024, Batang's economy has grown by 6.03 percent compared to the previous year. With the start of operations of factories in KITB, Batang's economy has the potential to grow even higher.

Meanwhile, social indicators also show better numbers. The HDI value is increasing (from 70.20 to 70.73), the percentage of the poor population is getting smaller (from 8.92 percent to 8.73 percent), and the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) million decreased from 6.06 percent to 5.67 percent.
