Hello data friends, do you know the events behind Labor Day?

The commemoration of International Labor Day began in May 1886. At that time, as many as 400,000 workers in various sectors in the United States demonstrated to demand restrictions on working hours. In that year, workers' working hours reached 12 hours a day or 7 working days a week. Workers demand a reduction in working hours to 8 hours a day. This event was later chosen as a symbol of the struggle for workers' rights.

May 1 was declared International Workers' Day. In 1892, the 8-hour workday policy was passed in the United States. This policy was then implemented in many companies and offices throughout the world, including Indonesia.

The data from the National Labor Force Survey (SAKERNAS) in 2023 noted that there were 37.49 percent of Batang Regency residents who worked as workers/employees/employees.
