Finalization of the Batang Regency Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan

BPS Batang Regency took part in the Finalization of the Batang Regency Climate Change Adaptation Action Plan which was organized by the Batang Regency Planning, Research and Development Agency (Bapelitbang) on ​​Tuesday (12/9). This activity was attended by several Regional Apparatus Organizations (OPD), academics, media and environmental communities. This activity aims to finalize a climate change adaptation action plan which can be used as a guide for policy makers and development actors who are more adaptive to climate change in Batang Regency. Climate change adaptation is a process of strengthening and building strategies to anticipate the impacts of climate change and implementing them so as to reduce negative impacts and take advantage of the positive benefits.

The priority action plans include the Maritime and Coastal, Food Security, Water and Health sectors. In his direction, the Head of Bappeda, Ari Yudianto, said that this action plan must be supported by all parties involved. The hope is that the development programs implemented will always be guided by sustainability.
