Industrial Visit To KITB

On Thursday (07/11) the BPS Team from Batang Regency and the BPS Team from Central Java Province conducted a working visit in the context of an audience to the Batang Integrated Industrial Area (KITB) and the companies within it. The BPS group led by Sri Winarsih was well received by Rizza Akbar from PT KITB.

KITB is one of the national priority projects that is expected to boost the Indonesian economy. On that occasion, the BPS Team conveyed the purpose of the audience which in general was to see more clearly the development of development and industrialization activities in the KITB area. Thus, the team will obtain more adequate information in the context of compiling the Quarterly Economic Growth of the Regency.

Some of the data required include operating hours, types of raw materials and their origins, types of products, volume and marketing, current production capacity, and the number of workers in each company. KITB said that all industries in the Area must meet low pollution standards so that all companies that enter use electricity and gas fuel. As for the textile industry, it is not permitted to operate in the KITB area. All waste processing produced will be managed by KITB. Furthermore, a direct visit was made to the WAVIN company which produces pipes and RKI (Rumah Keramik Indonesia) which produces various types of ceramics.
