Training for Rice Producer Price Survey Officers in Milling (SHPBG)

On Tuesday (14/01) BPS Batang Regency held training for rice producer price survey officers at mills (SHPBG). This training aims to provide survey officers with an understanding of carrying out the data collection stages accurately and consistently. The event was opened by the Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi, who emphasized the urgency of the survey related to the survey results which also support national food policy. The agenda was continued by a presentation from the training facilitator, Cahya Wisnu Wardana.

Apart from discussing data collection in the field, Vishnu also explained the importance of carrying out each data collection process according to the SOP. Starting from testing the water content of rice as the main indicator of the quality of the rice produced, sieving to separate the content of broken rice, to validation of the data input program through FASIH. Officers are trained to use moisture testers to get precise results. The collected data is then input into a digital-based survey application, which is designed to ensure the efficiency and accuracy of data recording. This process is an important foundation in producing reliable rice producer price statistics, so that they can be used as consideration in food policy making at the national and regional levels.
