On Monday (20/01) BPS Batang Regency held Training for Officers for the March National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) Quarter 1 of 2025 at the Sendang Sari Batang Hotel. Training is carried out in a hybrid manner, namely distance learning (PJJ) or online and face-to-face learning. Distance Learning (PJJ) has been implemented in two waves, namely Wave I from 13 to 15 January 2025 and Wave II from 16 to 18 January 2025. Face-to-face learning was held from 20 to 21 January 2025.
This training aims to improve officers' understanding of concepts and definitions, officers' communication skills when interviewing respondents, and discussing problem-solving strategies in the field. With this training, it is hoped that it can help officers overcome challenges in the field and produce quality and reliable data for analysis and government policy making, especially regarding poverty alleviation programs and efforts.
In his speech, the Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi, always advised participants to actively discuss and be sensitive to developments in issues currently occurring in society. Djumadi also emphasized the importance of time management, risk mitigation, compliance with data collection SOPs, and teamwork to maintain the data collection timeline while maintaining data quality.

The use of Susenas data is for planning and evaluating national development programs, planning and evaluating sectoral programs (Ministries/Institutions), and providing indicators for Sustainable Development Goals (TPB), National Medium Term Development Plan (RPJMN), and Astacita.
