Evaluation of Susenas-Seruti 2025: Together Activate VILLAGES!

February 10, 2025 | BPS Activities

Field data collection for the March National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) Quarter 1 of 2025 has officially begun. To ensure the quality of the data produced, BPS Batang Regency held an Evaluation Meeting on data collection results on February 10 2025. This initial stage of evaluation is a crucial step in ensuring the accuracy and quality of the data, as well as an effort to mitigate risks early on so that the potential for errors in the enumeration process can be minimized.

In this evaluation, the Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi, emphasized the importance of the DESA approach (Accompany - Evaluate - Disseminate evaluation results - so that the data is accurate) to oversee the smooth running of data collection. Intensive assistance at the start of implementation is very necessary so that officers can understand the procedures well, while evaluation results need to be disseminated immediately so that every officer gets feedback and improvements can be made more quickly. Apart from maintaining data quality, this evaluation is also a forum for identifying obstacles and findings in the field, so that corrective steps can be implemented immediately.

The hope is that in the next stage of data collection, the obstacles found will no longer be a problem, so that the enumeration process can run more optimally. This initial evaluation is also a form of BPS Batang Regency's commitment to providing quality, accurate and trustworthy data as a basis for appropriate policy making.
