Alhamdulillah, today we have completed 30 days of fasting and worship in the month of Ramadan. Time passes so quickly, leaving behind a trail of lessons and meaning. Fasting is not just about enduring hunger and thirst, but also a means of cultivating piety and gratitude. In Surah Al-Baqarah verse 185, Allah SWT emphasizes that fasting is mandatory so that we are devout and grateful for His blessings.
Ramadan teaches us that the more grateful we are, the closer our hearts are to Allah. Now, as this holy month passes, may all our deeds be accepted and we will truly become more devout and grateful servants. Allah says in Surah Ibrahim verse 7, "If you are grateful, We will surely increase (favors) to you." Gratitude is not just said, but is manifested in attitudes and actions, such as sharing with others, restraining lust, and improving the quality of worship.
Ramadan, soon you will be gone, leaving a longing in your heart that still wants to pray and prostrate longer. O Allah, if this is our last Ramadan, please accept every prayer and good deed. But if You are still willing to bring us together next year, make us better servants, more grateful, and closer to You. Because what we long for is not only Ramadan, but Your blessing, O Lord.
