Every drop of worker's sweat is the foundation of nation building. Labor Day is not just a holiday, but a momentum to appreciate the struggles and rights of workers, from cities to remote villages.

BPS data records that in Batang Regency, in August 2024, the percentage of working residents with worker/employee/employee status was recorded at 38.34 percent, a slight increase compared to August 2023 which was 37.49 percent. This increase indicates that formal employment in Batang is starting to show improvement, in line with the growth of the industrial and service sectors. However, the majority of the rest of the workforce is still in the informal sector, indicating the need to strengthen job protection and improve the quality of work at the local level.

From factory workers in the city, farmers in the countryside, to digital workers behind the scenes, everyone has the right to a safe, just and humane future. Let's celebrate Labor Day 2025 with a spirit of solidarity and support for workers!
