Abstract

The workforce in Central Java in August 2015 was 17.30 million people, down around 248 thousand people compared to the workforce in August 2014 and down 994 thousand people compared to February 2015. The working population in Central Java in August 2015 was 16.44 million people, down around 116 thousand people compared to the situation in August 2014 and down around 887 thousand people compared to February 2015. The Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in Central Java in August 2015 was 4.99 percent, down 0.69 percentage points compared to the TPT in August 2014 (5.68 percent) and down 0.32 percentage points compared to the TPT in February 2015 (5.31 percent).
