Abstract

The ITK value in Central Java in Quarter III-2016 was 109.16, which means that the economic conditions of households in Central Java increased compared to the previous quarter. The level of household optimism was also better compared to the previous quarter. The improvement in the economic conditions of households was mainly driven by the increasing volume of consumption of goods and services, which is reflected in the value of the index of 110.41. Household income also drives the consumer economy, as reflected in the current Household Income Index of 109.66. The ITK value of Central Java in Quarter IV-2016 is estimated at 101.85, meaning that consumers perceive the economic conditions as improving, although more pessimistic than in Quarter III-2016.
