Quarterly Employment and Economic Growth Indicator Report

On Monday (18/11), the BPS Team of Batang Regency reported the 2024 Quarterly Employment and Economic Growth Indicators to the Acting Secretary, Ari Yudianto.

The Head of BPS Batang Regency, Heni Djumadi, said that the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) of Batang Regency as a result of the August 2024 Sakernas was 5.67 percent. This means, for every 100 people in the labor force, there are around 5 to 6 people who are unemployed. This figure decreased by 0.39 percentage points compared to August 2023 conditions.

Meanwhile, Batang Regency's economic growth in the second quarter of 2024 grew by 5.97 percent when compared to the second quarter of 2023 (yoy). This new economic growth is released on a quarterly basis for the first time. It is hoped that this economic indicator can be used as one of the bases in evaluating the development process in the regions.
