Did you know that today we commemorate Tree Planting Day?

This commemoration began in 1961, when President Soekarno set November 28 as Indonesian Tree Planting Day. The goal is to increase public awareness of the importance of trees for life and environmental sustainability.

Based on the results of the 2023 Agricultural Census, Batang Regency has forestry crop commodities consisting of acacia trees, bamboo, jabon, teak, white teak, mahogany, Mindi, Sengon, Suren, Waru and Trembesi trees. In fact, Sengon Trees are the most cultivated forestry commodity in the Batang Regency area in 2023 with a total of 3,978,363 trees.
