National Teachers' Day was officially established on November 25, 1994 through Presidential Decree Number 78 of 1994. This date was chosen because it coincides with the birthday of the Teachers Association of the Republic of Indonesia (PGRI), which has a long history as a teacher's struggle organization. This determination aims to pay tribute to teachers for their great contribution in educating the nation's life.
Teachers have a strategic role in human resource development. The commemoration of Teacher's Day is a form of appreciation as well as a reminder of the importance of education in national development.
Referring to the Batang Dalam Num Publication 2024, in the 2023/2024 school year in the Batang Regency area there are 9,812 teachers from kindergarten, ra, elementary, mi, junior high, mts, high school, vocational school, and MA. The dedication of these teachers certainly makes a significant contribution to the improvement of education indicators in Batang Regency. BPS noted that in the last four years, the Average School Length (RLS) and School Length Expectations (HLS) of Batang Regency have continued to increase.
