Hello data friends, did you know that every June 24 is commemorated National Midwifery Day? Do you also know about the meaning of midwifery?

The Indonesian Midwives Association stipulates that a midwife is a woman who graduated from midwifery education recognized by the government and professional organizations in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia. They have the competencies and qualifications to be registered, certified, and/or legally licensed to practice midwifery.

Midwives are also defined as responsible and accountable professionals, who work as women's partners to provide support, care, and advice during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum periods. Referring to data from the Batang Regency Health Office, the number of midwives working at health facilities in Batang Regency in 2023 is 665 people.
